I posted a few days ago that I was planning on getting my legs and a brazilian wax. Well, I indeed got my armpits, legs and brazilian wax. The armpits and “hoo haa” were the most painful. She had to go slowly for me.
I asked her if it would be painful and she said, “Oh yeah!” I will try to go often, every 4 weeks. She said the more I do it, the less it would hurt and the hair would grow back less.
After the waxing, I felt different. It was a good different. Andy liked it too.

I came home last nite early but tired from the networking shindig. It was fun. My friend and I would definitely do it again. I didnt take much pictures because we were having fun and dancing. I will post pics soon.
I couldnt wait to come home to blog about this but I just came from a bagel shop near my house and you know there’s this big issue about obesity in the country and the ecomony at its all time low, plus gas prices going up–its so hard to save money and eat healthy.
Eating healthy is so freakin expensive. I just spent about $6. 50 on an egg white bagel sandwich w/ cheese and a grapefruit juice. That is one expensive breakfast. I was at the shop and I saw on the menu that a bacon, egg and cheese bagel was $3.25 + tax. Then he charged me over $4 for the sandwich. I asked him why and he said because I ordered egg whites.
I could never understand that. I am taking less of an egg but I’m being charged more. If you notice when buying healthy food and healthy ingredients, it costs a lot of gosh darn money. I am not rich and even it I was, I’m smart and I know that I rather pay $.25 for a lemon than pay $1.00 for a lemon because its organic. Bull ish!!!
And dont get me started on Earth Day. It shouldnt be a day…it should be every freakin year round. I do my part in saving the environment. I’m not perfect but I do my best. And even though buying a energy saving bulb will cost less in the long run, why does it have to be so damn expensive? Even getting a hybrid car is expensive and maintaining it. This sounds really backwards to me.
I will still eat healthy and save the environment but unfortunately my pockets cant maintain this lifestyle forever.
Its been a while since I last knitted. Everytime I knit I feel so relaxed. I want to make a tam. I will start this weekend. Saturday I’ll go to AC Moore to get some more yarn. Oh no on second thought I already have yarn here. Hopefully, I have the right size needle to make the tam if not then on Saturday I’ll go to the craft store.
I am so excited about 2morrow that I’ve already scheduled a few beautification appointments.
I’m planning on getting my hair done (I miss my natural hair) and I’m going to get my legs waxed (for the first time) and a brazilian wax. LOL! I know you are thinking, “Why is she getting a brazilian wax for a networking soiree?” Well, since you asked, it’s not for the soiree, its for me. I’ve always wanted to experience a brazilian wax and since I’m waxing my legs, why not my ***expletive***.
Anyways, I may also get my nails done. I have to take care and pamper myself. Life is too short for stress and foolishness. I hope I meet nice meeting and building professional relationships so I can make moves in my life/career. Cant wait. I have to remember to bring a camera.
what to say or do anymore. I am tired. I just want the best for myself and I dont want to settle for anything less. When it gets to the point where you’re the only one ready to take the next “step” in the relationship, then there’s no need to be in a relationship. Period.

Tonight I got an email to RSVP at a club this Friday in NYC to network. I always wanted to go to a networking soiree but was lazy and not motivated to go. However, the time has come. I WILL be attending the social circle this Friday. I am off and why not network and meet young professionals and make new friends.
I’m may invite a couple of co-workers to come with. I’m planning on dressing comfortably yet cute and professional. Cant wait to go. Hopefully, I remember to bring my camera.
