I tried my best to make this hat…

And all I got was this hat headwarmer…

As you can see the top part of the “hat” doesnt look right. I tried my best. I know my mistake and will do better next time. After the Boards 2morrow at my job, I will have time to update my blog on a regular basis and continue to knit.

I will be making another hat, possibly a tam. Will keep you posted.

This has been a very tiring week. This new position at my job is taking my energy. But in the end it will be all worth it. My boss asked all of us to leave early today because he could tell we were tired. I havent been to the mall in like a month. Can you believe that?

Anyways, I havent knitted in a week and I didnt even start reading my Women and Money book by Suze Orman. Ugh!!! And now my spare time is being pre-occupied because Andy and I are planning a big purchase. I rather not say what it is now because I dont want to jinx it. Just pray that everything goes thru smoothly.

P.S.-I finished the hat project and will post sometime this weekend. We’ll see.

then I think you deserve to become handicapped. Yes! This may be a cruel statement but its also cruel to occupy a handicapped spot when you’re not handicapped. I am so livid about this issue because I live in an apartment complex and the parking is already a mess. And to get a decent spot you basically have to come at the right time.

Anyways, there are some tenants here who are very cool with the resident manager and now they have “Reserved Handicapped” spots. And guess what?! They are not handicapped. They have two hands and two legs and I’ve seen these people carry heavy items etc. They have these “reserved” spots right in front of the building just so they dont have to worry about parking. What a damn shame. And these people claim to be Christian (or whoever they worship).

Anyways, I believe in Karma. How dare these people (who even walk/run better than I do) get a handicap sticker/spot? Its not fair. If you want to have a handicapped spot so much then you deserve to become handicapped. It’s only fair.

When someone finds out, please let me know?

This past weekend, I started making Andy a scarf and myself a hat. This time I made his scarf using a different type of yarn. His scarf wont be as soft as mine and he wanted a dark brown color. And he wanted it really thick and wide to protect him from the cold since he commutes to NYC everyday via train. I am almost finished and I can honestly say I am not a big fan of the scarf. It looks plain but Andy likes it a lot. I guess its what the customer wants.

I’m also going to be making some hats. One is for practice and the other ones will be a tam/beret. It will be with the same soft Homespun yarn I used for my beautiful purple scarf.

Please note: The tan colored hat pictured above will be the practice hat. Click on image for pattern. I’m making my hat a little different.

Will post finished product. Hopefully, when I’m done it looks and feels like a hat.

because I was invited to Ravelry (a site for knitters, crocheters, and weavers). I was on the waiting list and got my official invite on Feb 9th. I didnt know I was invited until I checked the waiting list and it said my invite was sent on Feb. 9th. I had to change my junk email block settings in order to get the email. Anyways, I’m officially a knitter. Hee Hee Hee.
