I have a very bad sore throat. I went to work this morning and I knew that my day was not going to be a good one. After eating some grits for breakfast and a few cough drops, my sore throat gotten worse. I hope I get better by tomorrow. Better yet, before my birthday (Nov. 2nd). I just took some cough medicine so we’ll see.  

Why does stuff like this always happen when you plan a vacation or a wedding? It’s either you get your period or you’re sick. The whole year, you’re healthy as an ox but the moment you’re about to travel (or get married or something), it’s like you contracted the ebola virus or something. Golly!

I got an email from Sephora.com and they alerted me that the Sephora Blockbuster Palette has arrived. I am so happy. The only thing I am upset about is that its $8 more this year than what is was last year, but thats ok. It’s still worth it. I paid $48 for the palette and it has a plethora of colors for blushes, eyeshadows, and lip glosses. Can’t wait to crack it open and use it. I also signed up to be a beauty insider :-).

I finally got my boots. After getting the run around from Fed-Ex, I had to drive all the way to Avenel, N.J. to pick up my boots. But I got them. They are extremely comfortable and I plan to wear them to work on Monday. I am so happy that I only have to work three days this week. Cant wait for Atlantic City. I am still waiting for my other pair of boots but it’s ok. Most likely they will come in the next few days.

I found about these shoes when I was shopping at Nordstroms with my mom and this makeup artist at the counter was wearing them. She had them in black and she said that Nordstrom sells them but online. I ordered myself a pair and I am impatiently waiting for the shoes to arrive. The funny thing is between work and gym I dont get home till about 8:30 pm. I ordered the shoes on Monday, Oct. 22nd and they were delivered on Wednesday, Oct. 24th. They also delivered again today but of course I am at work.

It makes no sense to me how postal carriers like UPS, FedEx, and DHL deliver when you’re at work. Delivering should be from morning to night til about 9 pm. This nonsense just ruffles my feathers :-).

Anyways, they are going to deliver again and I will be at work and I hope they deliver on Saturday. We’ll see. But these shoes are so hot to me. I cant wait to wear them to work. Plus I ordered some tall boots too. Whoo! I’m going to be styling.

ETA: I missed another pair of boots.

This is on the Top 10 list of the most ridiculous ways to waste money. Especially since there are a lot of people that are starving or are not able to make ends meet because they have a low paying job and they cant afford to buy food and/or healthcare for their family.
