Is it me or is May a really long month? And the worst thing about it is at my job I get paid now every 15th and 30th of every month. So, it feels like forever to get paid, especially this month. Ugh!!! Looking forward to June. I want to take a vacation but I found out, a couple of days ago, that I only have three days left. That’s not long for a decent vacay. Unless I plan it around a weekend and/or holiday. I wanted to go to London in July too with my mom.

I love, love, love this documentary. It really hones in on what society believes is “ugly” and how society can influence the children of our future. I am proud to say I am African-American and God made me this way. God made us all different and unique. We would be FOOLS to want to be anything else. While growing up and experiencing these stigmas, I learn that MOST African-Americans HATE themselves and they put each other down. People used to tease me because of my hair, where I was from and my features. And til this day, I still love who I am (except for my big belly of course) but you get the point. We need to grow up.

I went to Florida to visit Andy’s family. His little brother, who is 12 years old, is just as tall as Andy. His brother also wears a size 11 shoe. I cant imagine how tall he will be at 18 y.o. I went to Disney World for the first time and we visited Epcot Center. I went to a few attractions and I had a great time. Andy’s father also had a pool at his house. We took pictures of us diving in then we later played basketball. I’m becoming very good. And finally, Andy and I went to the Shell Factory to buy some souvenirs. Above all, we had a great time and we wish we were still there. The pictures are not in order. Just look and enjoy :-).

   

Before I speak about my “routine” I want to mention that my vacation pics will be posted 2morrow.

I had a very busy and tiring weekend. On Sunday, I ran some errands, picked up Brady and slept for the rest of the day. Today, I studied (for a little bit) and got ready for Andy’s cousin BBQ. I had a good time. I really enjoyed playing cards with his family. The game we played was called “Spoon”. It’s a cute game. Andy later became sick. This morning I bought him Mickey D’s breakfast and a few hours later he had a stomach ache. I feel fine but with the combination of stress and food, he became really sick. I just pray he gets better. I wish we had at least one more day off.

Tomorrow, I am going to get back into my M.I.T (Milf in Training) routine. I am happy to say that I gained any weight. I am maintaining. However, its time to lose some more weight. Between wanting to go back to school, traveling, etc, I have lost focus. Right now, my refrigerator is empty so I am starting out on a clean slate. I plan to ride my bike more often and I am so happy that I bought a bike rack for my car. I am just waiting for Andy to assemble it for me.

Since I have been hanging out with Andy lately, I’ve noticed that he lost so much weight. He wasnt obese or anything, he’s just “soft to the touch” :-). Since bike riding, Andy has been lean and trim and I hate having my bf look better than me. I’m going back to M.I.T. I’ll keep you posted.

My bf just had a talk with his mom, long story, and he realizes that he cant please everyone. When he tells me stories about what’s going on with his life, he likes to use fables to best explain the situation. The fable about the father, son and the donkey was a good one he used today, so I wanted to post it. Enjoy :-).

On my new laptop I have Windows Vista, even though I requested Windows XP, since I heard a lot of bad things about Vista. But so far, I like it. My only complaint is I dont think I need to ask my computer permission for anything. So far I’ve been asked twice, which is not bad. I’ll keep you posted.

Oh, one more thing. Is it me or does Windows Vista remind anyone of Apple’s OS?

 

I just want to start off by saying… I’M BACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!

I am back in Jersey and I’m miss my apt, my car, my computer, my cat (that reminds me, I have to pick her up 2morrow), my bed and the pollution. YAY!!!

I would also like to mention that I have internet access. Thank Gosh!!! I have been without internet for three weeks and now I am gtg (good to go).

Anyway, I arrived at Newark 11:10 pm. Andy and I had to wait for his luggage because he chose to bring a big suitcase that had to be checked in. Hopefully, he learns to travel light. We usually take the train when we travel to and from the airport but it was getting late and we wanted to get home asap. We paid for a cab and to go home, which was about 20 minutes from the airport cost us $42. I mean I dont usually take the taxi but $42 is a lot of money. Anyways, we were grateful to get home in a timely manner.

I forgot to mention that the last half hour of the plane ride was horrible. The plane descended so fast that my ears popped and i started to get a headache. I felt nauseous after the plane landed. Ugh! While I was in the cab I still felt sick. It seems like when I’m nauseous I want to eat. I know it doesn’t make sense but hey life doesn’t make sense :-). I got home, opened my mail, drank some juice and drove to Mickey D’s with Andy. I ordered from the 99 cents menu, of course, and watched a taped episode of the Sopranos. I later went to bed and coughed the whole night. I still have a cold since the vacay :-(. However, I’m getting a little better.

A lot has happened today but to make a long day short, I was a little pissed because I drove all the way to school for my GMAT prep class and unbeknowst to me, it was cancelled due to the holiday. Yes, I was without internet access, BUT, I was able to access internet while on vacay. So I didnt get the memo that class was cancelled. Oh well. Then Comcast didnt come when scheduled because the technician was backed up with work. He finally came and even though it took about 2 hours, I finally have internet access. Thanx Keith :-).

I went to BestBuy to get a wireless router and now I am blogging :-). Expect to read more of me.
