Made my purchase

31 03 2007

I went to High Gear Cyclery in N.J. to purchase my bike and I am very happy. It cost me about $1,800 (not including accessories, pedals, etc). Andy is psyched about it and I just hope this is long term. I’ll be damned if I am going to spend over $2,000 for all of this stuff and it’s a waste. I like the bike though. Its a Cannondale Optima 2 bike. Andrew has the same thing but different color. We are planning to join races, meet up with groups and really get involved in the world of bike racing. Eventually, when we become experienced we will invest in a mountain bike. I ordered my bike so its going to come in a few days or a week. I will post a pic of my bike once it arrives.

This is not kosher

I was watching a feature on Nightline and they were talking about “foie gras“. In French, it means “fatty liver”. It’s a popular delicacy in France and in the United States. I never had foie gras but I will never eat it. Because for one, it doesnt even look appetizing and two it’s disgusting how they force feed these ducks/geese in order to produce this type of delicacy.  I really have to rule out meat and possibly chicken from my diet. It’s cruel how they kill these animals. For those who are clueless about the method they use to force feed these animals, take a looksy here…

I’m still kicking myself in the ass for not taking pics of Candyce’s birthday soiree. But it’s ok. We are planning on hanging out again very soon and there are def. going to be a lot of events happening in the next couple of weeks. Stay Tuned!

Guess who came to dinner?

29 03 2007

Andrew! Well he actually came to give me the keys to my apartment. I called him yesterday, around 9:30ish, to get the keys to my place. And about 30 min l8r, he came by, gave me the keys, and we just stood there. Back and forth we would say, “Ok, that’s it.” We both sounded like fools. We both knew we missed each other. We started talking about life, work, health and at about 1:00am he really had to leave so he can getready for work 2morrow. But b4 leaving he gave me quite a few hugs and he even lifted me up. I missed Andy too. However, I am not ready to jump back into a relationship. It would be best if we really talk through our issues and take it slow for now. It wouldnt make sense if we get back together and nothing has changed. And believe me, I’m dying for change. We’ll see how it goes.
