Friday evening, after work, I went with “the gang” from work to throw some balls down the lane. We met up at the bowling alley on Rte. 22 and we had a good time. I had one bottle of Corona and already I was f%*&ed up. I am not a big drinker. After one glass, bottle or cup of alcohol, I get tipsy. I mean I guess that’s a good thing. Here are some pics of me and my co-workers. The picture quality is terrible. I dont know what’s going on with my camera. I think I have it on the wrong setting or something.

The people I talk to the most at work is Alton (aka Altonater) and Bryanna. But I like hanging out with everyone. I had a good time. Then on Saturday, I took my grandma out and got her some shoes. Andy came along as well and treated us to dinner. I wanted to take my grandma out because she was traveling back to Africa this Saturday, April 21st, and I wanted to get her out of the house. She really appreciated what I did for her. I’m happy :-).

Sunday, it rained so hard almost every street was blocked. I just stayed home and watched T.V. and did some research because I am planning on going back to school. Yay!!! I’ll keep you posted on that.

And today, work was fine. My educator/trainer didnt come to work bc her basement was flooded so a couple of managers came by and taught us a few things about the system. The day went by quick which was cool and I’m looking forward to 2morrow.

I rarely keep a lot of friends. Because friends turn on you and they need you only when they want something. In the few months, and even now, I have experienced a lot of bull-ish from people who call me a “friend” or their “little sister”. And I am not even upset about it. I learn to not let little stuff get to me. I am very grateful to be alive and healthy. So worrying about people who call you your “friend” and not treat you like one, is not on my Top 10 list of things that matter. Grant it, no one wants to be alone and you want to surround yourself with people who care for you. Well, that’s why I have Brady (my cat) :-). And I have Andrew. Yes, we argue like every other week but I love him and he loves me. He’s my bestest friend. If we’re not together, we will still be friends.

These are the words I live by… “I came into this world by myself, I will leave by myself.”

Today wasnt so bad. I renewed my Xbox Live membership. Hopefully I play more than 3x online. I went to work and the day went by quick. I had a few laughs and today in a meeting, my manager told everyone I was going to go to a different department. I will def miss my co-workers but I have to do what’s best for me. I start my new position on April 10th. I am so happy because everyone is doing well now. I have a friend who graduated from college about 2 years ago and he finally got a real job. This weekend Andy, my friend, and a few other friends and I are going to have dinner either Saturday or Sunday night to celebrate.

I am also excited because I am off this Friday and Andy and I are going to take it easy. We are going to run some errands and get our bikes from the bike shop. We are so excited. Andy is also going to the dentist. I am happy because he hasnt gone to a dentist in like ever. Sorry Andy for spreading your business. He has really nice teeth but I just want him to go to make sure everything is ok.  We are def serious about bike riding and I hope its long term and I lose weight. Then on Saturday we will either ride at a trail near my house or we are going to Liberty State Park. His uncle is going to bike with us also. He is very into bike riding and I hope he helps us out with some advice. I cant wait for this weekend.

I had a really great time today. It started off rough but everything was great. The only thing I regret was not bringing my camera. I’m so forgot. Anyway, let me tell u what happened…

First of all, Shanna (a friend) planned to meet me at my house at about 12:30 pm. However, she couldnt make it so she had to take the train near her house. Her train was about 15 minutes after my train so I told her to call me when she gets to the city. Once I arrived in NYC, near Penn Station, I decided to walk over to Fifth Avenue then walk down to One Fifth Avenue. Because that’s where Otto Pizzeria is. I didnt think it would be a long walk until I got to Fifth Avenue and I realized it was a long walk.

So I kept walking and Shanna called me and ask where I was because she just arrived at NY Penn Station. I told her I was walking on Fifth and I suggested that she take a cab because if she walked she wont make it to the restaurant in time. So she did and she told me she will call me once she get to Fifth. I kept walking and walking and walking and absorbing NYC. I just love NY. And even though I am walking and getting kind of tired, I didnt mind the walk because I had the chance to  think about everything that has happened in the last couple of days. 

So I’m walking and Shanna calls me and she tells me she’s already there. I was a little confused because she said she was going to call me once she gets to Fifth but its all good. She saw me as I was walking down and I walked across the street to meet her. We found the restaurant and we went inside to meet the others. Otto is a really nice restaurant. As soon as you walk thru the revolving doors, you see a group of people taking part in a wine tasting class. And the restaurant had an Italian feel to it also.

I told the hostess we were here for the Candyce birthday party and she didnt have our reservation. I was a little upset because I could have sworn this was the restaurant Angela (Candyce’s roommate) wanted us to meet at. And the worst thing about everything was that neither Candyce, nor Angela, had a cell phone. So I couldnt confirm the restaurant or anything.  I told Shanna  we should give them five minutes and if no one shows up we will just do our own thing. Five minutes came around and no one came. We later decided to sit at the restaurant and get something to eat. Besides, I never at a restaurant like this before. It was very nice.

We sat and we both ordered white wine and I had the Arugala, Ricotta, and Chile pizza and Shanna ordered the Pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The food was ok. Shanna and I tried to make the best of the situation by just chit chatting and eating ok food. About a half hour later and I see a young lady and a boy who looked a lot like Candyce but I didnt think anything of it. Then the hostess approached us and said that they are here for the Candyce party. I didnt know the girl nor did she know me, but the boy did look like Candyce. The girl was convinced that we may know a different Candyce and I told her I was waiting for Candyce V. She knew who she was too so she shook her head and left. Shanna and I thought she left until about a half hour later she came back with what looked like Candyce mother and her bf. However, they sat at a different table. Then about five minutes later Candyce and Angela crawled in. I was so upset. I was just waiting for their excuse. Then they walked over to my and Shanna’s table and they apologized and they said that the hotel they were staying at clock was one hour off. They actually came in exactly 1 hour and 6 minutes after the schedule time.

Candyce was really bothered by the situation and she really felt bad. I told her it was ok and not to worry since it was her birthday. She eventually got a bigger table where all of us sat, ate and had a great time. I seriously ate until I couldnt eat anymore. Somehow my food tasted better. I guess because I was having a good time. I had more wine, cheese, sweets, more pizza, dessert. Oh man, I messed up my diet in so many ways but it was all worth it. More happened after we left the restaurant, but I am too tired to type everything that happened. All I can say is I am glad I stayed at the restaurant rather than leave because I had a great time and I cant wait until we do it again. Happy Birthday Candyce!!!

Oh yeah, the young lady was Candyce’s older sister, Aisha (sp?) and the young boy was her little brother, Marcus. Shanna took pics so once I get them, I will post them.

My friend is turning 26 this coming Sunday. Did you actually “I” was turning 26? Not yet. Anyways, my friend Candyce is turning 26 this Sunday and I cant wait to meet up with her and her friends so we can catch up and eat some good food. We are going to eat in Manhattan, its the first time I am going to eat at this restaurant so I hope its good. The restaurant is owned by Mario Batali so most likely it will be good. I will remember to take pics so I can post them up. I hope we go out for some drinks afterwards.

Other than the fact that I had a lousy week last week and I still dislike my job, it has been a great last few days. At work, I was able to win a $25 Amex gift card from a grab bag because I was able to sell a certain amount of products and I used that giftcard for my dinner today. I also won an “old school” cd that someone made on my team. That was another grab bag prize that I won today. The cd is surprisingly hot. It has music from A Tribe Called Quest, Run DMC, LL Cool J, Slick Rick and a few other popular old school musicians.

After work, I drove to my mom’s house and waited patiently for the guy to come over and check out my car. He eventually came and he test drove the car around the block a few times. He asked me questions about the car like what work have I done to it, blah blah blah. I was very honest with him and told him its a good car and I never had a problem with the car. He finally bought it, below asking price, and I was relieved. I dont have to deal with having two cars anymore.

Anyway, I drove to the Cheesecake Factory listening to my “old school” cd and feeling very good. I parked my car at the mall and saw my friend Candyce, that I havent seen in a minute, with her friend Angela.  And soon after Shanna strolled in also. After waiting two hours for a table, we finally sat down, ate good food and shared a few laughs. I really enjoyed myself and I hope to see them again soon.

I love this. My friend, Jenine from highschool, made this with photoshop. This is her first little project and I loves it. I can’t wait to buy a Mac computer.

I’m sorry I cant make it to your “surprise” birthday party. I just want to shot you out on my blog. Happy Birthday!!!… again. I will call you l8r.

For those who dont know, Andy and I are speaking again. We always get into our little spats. You know what I am talking about. Anyways, my friend, Brian, sent me an email of a pic his girlfriend took of me and Andy on a train ride back from NYC. I really like the pic, so I am going to post it here…

I bought my friend Shanna and her hubby a very nice 10 year anniversary gift. I bought them a pair of matching white robes with their names monogrammed on each robe. They love the robes. I wished I took pictures but I guess it’s best that I didnt. Certain moments are meant to be shared between two people. Anyways, I feel good about myself. Shanna is lucky to have a friend like me :-).
