I would like to announce that I have been working out five times a week for the past couple of weeks, religiously. Yay!!! So far I am sticking to my work out plan. My diet needs a little work, just a little but all is good. I have been doing a lot of cardio and I love taking Step classes, because it’s all about coordination. And its fun.
Everyday, I burn about 600 calories on the treadmill and elliptical machines. I need to incorporate more weight training. My gym does offer strength classes so I am planning on taking them as well. I’m hoping that by my next birthday I drop at least 20 pounds.

I was working out today and feeling great and getting in the groove. After I was on the treadmill for about 40 minutes and the elliptical for about 15 minutes, I quickly ran over to the Boot camp class to get my sculpt on. Anyways, while I was working out I was looking at the mirror a few times and I look bigger than I thought I was. It kind of discouraged me, yet motivated me to work out harder to loose the extra poundage.
In class, I was stretching and thought I looked like this…

but when I looked in the mirror, I looked like this…

Either gym mirrors add 20 pounds or I always looked like this. Maybe I have reverse body dysmorphia where I think I look fine but I look worse.

I have to fit into this bikini…

by December 11th. Why December 11th you ask? Well, Andy and I traveled to Jamaica from December 4th-11th 2006 and he bought me this bikini in Montego Bay. Anyways, I promised him that I will try and lose weight so I can fit into the bikini.
Well, so far I havent lived up to my promise. But since this year Dec. 11th will make it exactly one year since we’ve traveled, Andy has challenged me to fit into that bikini. Only because I promised him. I’m motivated but unsure. I hope I lose the weight by December. Let’s hope.

Here’s a great way to know how much calories to eat. Just multiply your weight by 15 and that number is the amount of calories you need to stay under. For example, let’s say my weight is 200. I will multiply 200 x 15 and get 3000. That is the amount of calories I am consuming on a daily basis, which is too much. If I stay under, I’ll lose weight. If I eat the same amount, then I’ll plateau. And if I eat more, then I’ll gain weight. You get the idea.

exercising at home made you sweat? I got off work and drove home and wanted to walk to the supermarket so I can burn some calories. I eventually didnt go because it looked like it was going to rain. I didnt know what to do because I ate really bad the last few days. For three days straight for lunch, I would have a hamburger and fries combo. I know… bad, bad, bad.
I couldnt resist. I didnt want to spend too much money on food and not surprisingly the food that’s bad for you was cheaper than the healthy food. So I compromised my waistline and fell into the trap.
Anyways, I was home and didnt know what to do. I wanted to burn the hamburger and fries. So I tuned in to ON Deman’s exercise tv and worked my a** off. The program I was working out to was so intense I was sweating. I later showered and I felt so refreshed. I also burned close to 400 calories. I was so happy. Even though I only burned off a french fry, every little bit helps.

I am definitely going to work out at home again. It’s very convenient and no one has to look at you and/or body jiggle.

Hello dieters or healthy lifestyle…livers, here’s a great website that provides the nutritional facts of every type of food. The website is called Nutrition Data. This is how it works. Let’s say you eat a bowl of grits. Type in grits in the search box and the site is going to populate a list of different type of grits and how it was prepared.
Once you click on which grits closely matched what was consumed, then a nutritional facts label will appear with every type of information you can find about your breakfast. Pretty neat huh? Please take advantage of this tool. It will really help you count calories and eating to a better you.

I went to NYSC today and I was very disappointed with myself. I tried pilates for the first time and I sucked. I couldnt do most of the moves because my “core” is not strong enough. I want to give pilates a chance. I want to wait till I lose some weight first (or even build my core) so I can keep up with the class.
When I go to the gym I like to sweat. Today I didnt sweat and I feel as if I didnt work out. I’m going to head back to the gym 2morrow after work. Thankly I work til 12pm. Woo hoo!!!

I went to NYSC on Saturday to sign up for a one week free trial. I am determined to take advantage of the free offer and work out. After work, I spent about 25 minutes on the treadmill, keeping a 3.6 speed pace. Then I took part in a hip hop funk class. The ironic thing about it was I wasnt dancing hip hop. It was merengue style dancing. But, I liked it. And boy did I sweat.
I was planning on taking the pilates class right after, but I didnt have any more energy. Besides, I had to get back home and study for the exam. I registered for the spinning class 2morrow morning at 8:30am. I’m having second thoughts. I know that class is going to rip me a new one. I dont know, we’ll see.

This weekend I’ll be riding my bike with Andy and my little sisters. We are going to ride til the wheels fall off. I have to focus on my plans on becoming a M.I.L.F. I want to look great before and, most importantly, after I have children. I will take pictures of my journey. Wish me luck :-).

Yes, havent we all successfully lost weight and successfully put the weight back on? Oh the horror. Anyways, for the past few days I’ve been bringing my lunch to work and eating healthy. I would like to do away with the carbs but I will die if I take it away completely. I’ve been eating a lot of whole wheat pasta, fish and vegetables. I still have a sweet tooth and I must learn to omit candy from my diet. Especially, if I want to get down to my ideal size of 6-8. I am going to take off from work 2morrow to handle some business in NYC, so I will try to squeeze in some workout time on my bike beforehand. I’ll keep you posted on my progress. Wish me luck
