Ok, here goes…

To make a long story short Andy and I had a great time in Atlantic City. We ate a lot and lost about $300. We had so much fun that I will definitely go back and lose some more money. But I prefer to win. Anyways, on Friday I packed for the trip and wanted to take a shower before I leave but the water was not working. Yes, I live in an apartment complex and somehow the pipe burst so I couldnt shower. Luckily, there was enough water for me to brush my teeth and remove the Nair from my legs.

After all the drama, Andy and I finally left for A.C. at about 11:45 am. We drove and the drive wasnt bad at all. We were getting hungry so we stopped by this Burger King off the Parkway in some town and I was highly upset with the food. First of all, all of the employees were not younger than 50 and the service was really slow. And what confuses me is how can service be slow when the food was already prepared? The sandwiches and fries were already prepared, we just had to pick up what we want and pay for the food. I picked up some fries and they were so cold I asked for some fresh ones. Then the lady said, “Well these fries just came out.” I stood there thinking that maybe “just” for her was about two hours ago because the fries were not good.

Andy and I ordered a chicken sandwich combo and fries and a double cheeseburger and paid $11.00. Now the price was indeed steep for not even two combos. But you know how restaurants over charge you when you get food from a certain location. I expected that, but I did not expect to have the food taste like CRAP! Yes, I said it. The food was horrible. I had a chicken sandwich that was cold and the lettuce that was in the sandwich wasnt even lettuce. It was a the core from a head of lettuce. You know what I’m talking about. It was the hard piece in the middle of a head of lettuce. Disgusting!

Anyhoo, Andy and I finally made it to the Borgata Hotel and Casino and I was excited. I was really looking forward to my stay and I planned on having a great time. Andy and I went to the Borgata buffet. The food was good and we walked around the casino. Andy was pretty lucky at the slots and he won some money. Later that night, I was getting sick. I didnt drink any alcohol but I did eat a lot of food so either the food I had was bad or I ate to much. So I purged the food and Andy bought me a grande sized Tazo tea from Starbucks. It was delicious and it hit the spot. I slept through the night.

I woke up the next morning and Andy told me that he won some more money at the slots. That lucky bastard. I never had luck with them. But Andy knows how to play them. He won I think $80. Anyways, we played some more. Either at the slots or at the Big Six table and we slowly started to lose money. We had gambling fever but not to the point where we needed to go to the ATM and withdraw our whole bank account. We promised ourselves that we were going to play a certain amount.

Finally, we went to different casinos, but didnt play at any of them, and just enjoyed A.C. for what it had to offer. Our mode of transportation was the city Jitney service. It was a dirty bus and the drivers have a lead foot, but it was cheap ($2 a ride) and reliable. We browsed the malls, took pictures, saw half naked women and realized gambling, for some people, was a career. All in all, Atlantic City was great and look forward to going back in the near future. Andy and I plan on going to Las Vegas as well. And best believe the details of my trip will be summed up in one sentence…Whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. :-)

Here are pics of the trip…

ETA: If it looks like Andy is wearing the same clothes every day, he was. He brought other clothes but he felt more comfortable with his gray pants and Red Stripe t-shirt. He’s so funny.
