26 05 2008This Memorial Day weekend was what I needed. I spent some time with some friends and I didnt want to leave but I had too, for work of course. Anyways, let me not worry about tomorrow and just cherish my still existing weekend.
On Saturday, my friends and I watched movies, at home, and there was one I really wanted to see called “GIA”, starring Angelina Jolie. I remember growing up hearing about this movie aboout a supermodel who died of drugs but I never watched it.
I watched the movie and it was so good but sad. I was really touched by her story. I told myself that as soon as I get home I will look her up to see her actual photos and read more about her.
She was very successful and she had a long career ahead of her. Her career came to a halt because of drug abuse and eventually she died of AIDS. Everyone should watch the movie and learn from her mistakes and DONT DO DRUGS!
Gia Marie Carangi died at age 26.
